Investor, Mentor, Serial Entrepreneur.
Steve is the founder and CEO of TYP64, a venture studio and operating fund that helps legacy companies put AI to work. His focus is bringing modern technology into established industries that need it most, and turning that adoption into real growth.
His path to TYP64 began in deal-making. During the dot-com era, Steve helped lead $4 billion in M&A for CMGI and held director roles at EarthLink and Alluria. Those years gave him the playbook and the network for guiding founders and management teams through mergers, recapitalizations, and exits. He has since led several successful exits, most recently as chairman of the publicly traded marketing automation company SharpSpring, and guided two leading higher education software firms through exits and recapitalizations as CEO and COO.
At TYP64, Steve has assembled a team of like-minded entrepreneurs with deep and varied expertise, all focused on creating outsized value for the firm's portfolio companies.
Beyond TYP64, Steve chairs several boards and mentors CEOs across the country and internationally as a member of the Endeavor global network. If he’s not “businessing” or traveling, you can probably find him listening to a podcast at 2.5x speed while playing No Man’s Sky on his PS5.
